For Timple Luloo, being an entrepreneur is like embarking on an exciting vacation. Coming from a family with a rich legacy in alternative medicine, Timple began her own acupuncture practice in 1994. Specializing in chronic nervous disorders and paralysis, she combines acupuncture with organic, natural medicines to provide effective treatments while maintaining the integrity of traditional healing methods. With a touch of spunk and sass, she brings a modern flair to her practice without losing its essence.

A deep connection to nature guides her in both work and life. In her leisure time, she enjoys immersing herself in the natural world, conversing with plants, exploring forests, and observing birds, flowers, and bees. Few understand nature’s language and signs as deeply as she does, which fuels her passion for creating a sustainable environment.

Looking back to where it all began, this journey has been nothing short of breathtaking. My grandfather, Mr. Vincent Panikkar, was a pioneer in Homeopathy, practicing with the knowledge he acquired from Portuguese settlers. Known affectionately as the “German Doctor” in Coimbatore, he was the first to bring imported medicines from Germany and beyond to our city, laying the foundation for a legacy of healing.

My father, Dr. V.K. Alexander, carried this ancestral torch forward. As an Ayurvedic doctor and acupuncturist, he studied with Tibetan masters and later in Hong Kong, bringing acupuncture to India. His relentless research on Indian herbs led to the creation of simplified Ayurvedic medicines, with 54 unique formulations. His treatments, designed to be absorbed directly through the glands in the buccal cavity, offered patients immediate relief and became a resounding success. He even developed Hypnos-Rhythmic Therapy, a combination of hypnotism and music, which gained popularity for treating stress and high blood pressure.

Inspired by my father’s dedication, I felt a natural pull towards Ayurveda, which eventually led to the establishment of my own company. I pursued my education in zoology, graduating with a BSc and became an acupuncture practitioner by the age of 25. From there, I began treating patients with conditions ranging from paralysis and arthritis to infertility and chronic pain. With my father’s blessing, I set up research and manufacturing units to expand this healing tradition.

The road was far from easy. There were setbacks, moments of doubt, and constant reassurances. But after overcoming the hurdles of obtaining licenses and certifications, we proudly grew into a family business with 300 outlets in Coimbatore, extending our reach to neighboring regions like Udumalpet, Erode, Salem, Nilgiris, Pollachi, and Palani. But this is just the beginning. With love and passion driving us, Fugal Pharma aims to expand beyond India, sharing the gifts of Ayurveda globally. We believe Ayurveda will rise to new heights, carrying forward a tradition that our country can be proud of.
